Abstract
The big inventory of the nation’s deteriorating collection systems needs robust and reliable condition assessment techniques that are targeted and cost-effective. The objectives of this project are to identify the state-of-the-art emerging condition assessment methods and to recommend renewal technologies. The goal is to enhance the integrity and longevity of collection systems using advanced methods including but not limited to analytical, advanced physics-based models to artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) techniques.
