Abstract
This report provides a better understanding of emissions formation, primarily hydrocarbons, in combustion and offers guidance for facility owners. It provides an understanding of important controllable operation parameters -- temperature, oxygen, scrubber water flow -- to reduce emissions and provides specific guidance for incinerator facility owners and operators on reducing NOx and yellow plume emissions. Finally, it shows that energy recovery can reduce fuel usage with no degradation of emissions control. 150 pages. Soft cover.
