Abstract
In this report, O&G wastewater recycling refers to the use of O&G wastewater for O&G well stimulation and development while beneficial reuse refers to using treated O&G wastewater for beneficial purposes such as irrigation, livestock watering, stream flow augmentation, drinking water augmentation, road deicing and dust suppression. The objective of this study was to identify and assess the prospects of recycling or beneficial reuse of O&G wastewater through review of existing studies. Moreover, regulations, cases of recycling and reuse, and various treatment technologies for treating O&G wastewater were reviewed and summarized.
