Abstract

Determines which of three CT-calculation methods best describes the actual microbial inactivation that takes place in a continuous-flow ozone contactor. Uses Bacillus subtilis spores as the model organism. Also uses bench, pilot, and tracer studies to gather data on the accuracy of each calculation method to predict inactivation in a flow-through ozone contactor. Tailored Collaboration partner: Santa Clara (Calif.) Water District. Published in 2009.
