Abstract
This project assessed the effectiveness of innovative powdered activated carbon (PAC) adsorption and magnetic anion exchange processes for the removal of perfluorinated compounds (PFCs) from drinking water sources. Apart from the more commonly studied perfluorooctanic acid and perfluorooctane sulfonate, the removal of eight additional PFCs that are commonly detected in water were studied at environmentally relevant concentrations.
