Abstract

Water reuse provides communities a wide array of “Triple Bottom Line” benefits including improved water quality, a climate-resilient water supply, enhanced recreational opportunities, increased agricultural production, and expanded economic output. To realize these benefits, however, utilities must build strong partnerships, aligning their interests and combining their strengths to recycle water at a scope and scale appropriate to the challenges they face. The project team will define the elements of successful multi-agency water reuse projects and create practical guidance and tools to help agencies to overcome differences to create successful multi-agency reuse projects.
