Abstract
Studies the effect of advanced oxidation by ozone - hydrogen peroxide and UV - hydrogen peroxide in combination with biodegradation on destroying TOC and reducing DBP precursors. Reports on tests of water from two dissimilar surface sources with a wide range of oxidation conditions followed by complete biodegradation. Uses TOC, UV absorbance, and halogenated DBP precursor removal to measure treatment performance. Published in 1999.
