Abstract

Investigates the adsorption of regulated pesticides by PAC. Develops isotherms to predict the removal of pesticides in various concentrations found in drinking water source waters. Also develops methods to account for site-specific characteristics such as temperature, pH, and competition from natural organic matter. Provides a protocol that can be used by utility personnel to predict the site-specific performance of PAC for pesticide removal. Published in 1994.
