Abstract

This project synthesizes details on innovative approaches, tools, and processes that have been used to effectively manage deteriorating water infrastructure. Case studies from utilities across the United States, Canada, and Australia are included to increase the use and understanding of risk management principles and innovative technologies to effectively manage deteriorating water infrastructure systems. The research also provides recommendations and guidelines to support utilities in developing efficient and comprehensive asset management plans for pipelines, valves, and hydrants. Published in 2022.
