Long-Term Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Plan for SFPUC
Associated Project
Many uncertain factors such as climate change, changing regulations, water quality, growth, and economic cycles may create vulnerabilities for San Francisco Public Utilities Commission’s (SFPUC) Hetch Hetchy regional water system (RWS). Concerned about possible vulnerabilities, SFPUC participated in WRF’s Facilitated Research Program to tailor a research project (4703) to develop a long-term vulnerability assessment. This webcast illustrated the project’s innovative decision scaling methodology, which provides a systematic approach for addressing climate change concerns while also incorporating non-climate considerations for SFPUC’s RWS.
