Provides an understanding of the technological and institutional issues surrounding joint meter reading. Documents the business case for joint metering, which includes improving efficiency and customer service. Also identifies various strategies that utilities might pursue to move toward collaborative meter reading and, possibly, shared billing and customer service. Research partner: EPRI CEC.
