Abstract

The intent of this project was to validate a comprehensive battery of bioassays to detect estrogenic activity in a variety of environmental waters (such as recycled water) and provide a basis to assess the risk of exposure to biological organisms, including humans. It provides an overview of currently available bioassays to detect estrogenicity in environmental water samples. Each assay is described and its advantages and limitations discussed to facilitate selection in the toolbox. Published jointly by the Global Water Research Coalition. 76 pages. Soft cover.
