Abstract

The Guadalupe Community Garden, a 1-acre site in Guadalupe River Park & Gardens in San Jose, CA, is the first community garden to be permitted by the California Department of Public Health for irrigation with recycled water. This project demonstrated that the public will accept an expanded use of recycled water and that the project partners could design and operate a community garden acceptable to the California Department of Public Health and the general public in Santa Clara County.

Originally funded as WERF project Reuse-04-05.
