Treating Municipal Reclaimed Water for Multipurpose Industrial Reuse Applications at an Electric Utility and for Wetlands Rehydration in Florida
Abstract
This research investigates the application of treated municipal wastewater for reuse applications in the power sector, specifically for cooling water and boiler application, and the potential for wetland rehydration purposes. The report summarizes treatment technologies currently being used and evaluates the effectiveness of selected treatment technologies through bench-scale testing for the removal of targeted contaminants for cooling tower, boiler applications, and for wetland rehydration applications. Includes a cost-comparison of the selected treatment technologies for generating fit-for-purpose treatment for reuse in power plant and wetland rehydration applications. Published by WRF. 112 pages.
