Identifying and Controlling Odor in the Municipal Wastewater Odor Phase I: Literature Search and Review
Abstract
This report documents the first phase of a two-part project to identify and control sources of municipal wastewater odor. The purpose of this phase-a literature review-was to summarize contemporary odor-control literature from 1990 to 2000, focusing on odor characterization, odor sampling, measurement and analysis, and odor control technology. The project team also examined odor literature from the agricultural and industrial fields to identify any transferable technologies, and explored the literature on public perception of odors. After completing the literature review, the researchers used the information they had compiled to develop a prioritized field research agenda. Published by WERF. 290 pages. Softcover.
