Abstract

Examines and quantifies the presence and significance of synergistic effects through the use of multiple disinfectant strategies. Reports on the effects of sequential and simultaneous applications of chlorine, chlorine dioxide, monochloramine, UV, permanganate, and ozone on model organisms (Giardia, Cryptosporidium, and a bacterial system). Research partner: USEPA. Published in 2000.
