Abstract
This report examined many of the possible side effects of co-waste addition, and how changes in the type of high strength co-waste added to an anaerobic digester altered the outcome. The long-term objective of the study was to increase the number of utilities performing co-digestion by providing tools that enable them to better understand the implications of co-digestion and to reduce roadblocks and uncertainty associated with the technology. To achieve this objective, the research team developed a fundamental analytical approach to understand and predict the broad array of impacts of co-digestion. Published by WE&RF. 110 pages.
