Abstract
Examines the predictability of water quality at river intakes using computer models to evaluate data related to upstream industrial discharges and streamflow. Shows how analysis of existing upstream discharge data can help water utilities better understand when water quality changes will occur, thereby facilitating maintenance of optimum treatment process removal efficiencies.
