Abstract

This project assessed changes in the timing and volume of hydrologic runoff that might be expected from several climate change scenarios for years 2040 and 2070 for the Front Range of the United States. Two hydrologic models, the WEAP (Water Evaluation and Planning) model and the Sacramento Soil Moisture model, were calibrated and implemented, and drew on historical streamflow data from the Colorado Water Conservation Board, regionally downscaled projections from the Bureau of Reclamation, and discussions with Western Water Assessment. Tailored Collaboration partners: City of Aurora Utilities, Colorado Springs Utilities Department, City of Boulder, Denver Water, City of Fort Collins Utilities, and Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District. Published in 2012.
