Abstract

Reports on a symposium and meeting of a WHO Expert Group to review the benefits of consumption of magnesium and calcium from diet and drinking water on public health, with emphasis on the incidence of cardiovascular disease and other health effects in populations with deficient consumption of these minerals. Research partners: WHO, ILSI, USEPA, Center for Human Nutrition at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and Health Canada. Published in 2005 by WHO as Nutrients in Drinking Water, which is available on the WHO Website.
