Health Effects of Disinfectants and Disinfection By-products

Abstract

Reviews existing literature for information on the by-products of chlorine, chloramines, ozone, chlorine dioxide, and other disinfectants. Examines the occurrence and toxicity of disinfection by-products. Also identifies areas in which more research is needed for a better understanding of disinfection by-products and of the ramifications of using various disinfectants. Published in 1991.
