Abstract

Examines the state of knowledge regarding the presence and treatability of microbial constituents in source waters. Based on available information, identifies those highest priority data needs related to creation of technically justified monitoring requirements under the Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule. Creates an experimental design(s) for follow-on studies to generate those data that are most needed. Research partner: M/DBP Council. Ended in 1999.
