Abstract
The field of stormwater harvesting is evolving and expanding. Utilities and communities are considering viable alternatives to increase water supplies, improve resiliency of water resources, and find multi-beneficial and innovative approaches to addressing regulatory and water quality challenges. This project evaluated the range of drivers and benefits that communities are seeking through improved stormwater management. This study also developed recommendations for planning and implementing stormwater harvesting and synthesized associated research needs based on an understanding of stormwater harvesting practices at local, regional, and state levels.
