Abstract

Describes a telephone survey of 1,603 adult consumers in the United States to determine their views on water quality issues and the water utility industry. Includes results of interviews with a small cross section of environmentalists, mayors, and water utility general managers nationwide. Also covers a follow-up survey to assess the impact of the cryptosporidiosis outbreak in Milwaukee on public attitudes and perceptions in Milwaukee as well as the rest of the nation. Research partner: AWWA. Published in 1993.
