The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) Creating Resilient Water Utilities Initiative (CRWU) provides tools, training, and technical assistance for drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities to address climate change and to become more resilient to its impacts. CRWU’s climate data maps and Resilient Strategies Guide are great introductory resources for water utilities to use to inform future adaptation strategies, while the Climate Resilience Evaluation and Awareness Tool (CREAT) is a more comprehensive web application that guides utilities through a deeper process of identifying local climate projections, critical assets, and cost-effective adaptation solutions.
