Abstract
The major objectives of this project were to independently evaluate emerging technologies (biological and electrochemical denitrification) to cost effectively treat nitrate in groundwater, while reducing waste streams and optimizing spent brine recycling. Utilities that require nitrate treatment to meet regulatory compliance requirements are provided with better understanding and guidance to assess the applicability of these technologies to their own conditions. Tailored collaboration partner: City of Avondale. Published in 2016.
