The Water Research Foundation Seeks Proposals for New Nutrient Removal and Digital Workforce Projects
(Denver, CO) 05/16/23 – The Water Research Foundation (WRF) has released Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for two projects funded through their Research Priority Program. Through this program, WRF strategically addresses broadly relevant water sector issues, challenges, and opportunities.
The new RFPs are:
- Advancing Partial Denitrification Anammox (PdNA) Full-Scale Applications (5183): The intent of this project is to build upon an existing WRF project by finalizing design and operational guidance for PdNA full-scale implementation and advancing the integration of PdNA with biological phosphorus removal.
- Preparing the Water Sector to Embrace Technology: Skillsets and Enterprise Management Approaches for the Digital Age (5178): The goal of this project is to provide a practical framework to support utilities of all sizes in addressing their organizational and staffing needs in a digital era.
Utilities interested in participating in these research projects can volunteer through WRF’s Utility Participation in Research process to serve as test facilities, respond to surveys, provide samples, loan equipment, or share staff expertise on research projects of interest.
Proposals for both RFPs are due July 25, 2023. Questions on these RFPs should be directed to Stephanie Fevig, Research Program Manager, at sfevig@waterrf.org or 303.347.6103.
