Abstract
Identifies and quantifies physico-chemical and biological factors influencing bacterial attachment to synthetic membrane polymers. Delineates biofilm growth kinetics and structure as a function of nutrient level and hydrodynamics and correlates bacterial affinity coefficients and biofilm growth kinetics with membrane performance. Ended in 2003. A report of partial findings is available to Foundation subscribers.
